Overview

The Director of Business Development, USSOCOM is responsible for managing and driving multi-year pursuits for strategic programs, building relationships with key stakeholders, and shaping technical requirements to position Silvus solutions effectively.

In Short

  • Lead the capture process for large-scale SOCOM programs.
  • Build relationships with buying influences including PEOs, prime contractors, and end-users.
  • Influence technical requirements for long-term programs.
  • Manage the lifecycle of long-cycle pursuits from identification to award.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitor actions.
  • Travel up to 50% for customer engagement.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
  • Compensation includes base salary and milestone incentives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in defense sales or business development focused on USSOCOM.
  • Proven track record in capturing complex DoD programs.
  • Experience with USSOCOM acquisition offices and prime contractors.
  • Strong communication and executive briefing skills.
  • Knowledge of product development and military applications.
  • Familiarity with DoD funding and procurement cycles.
  • Understanding of tactical communications and MANET.
  • Leadership and program management experience preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
