Overview

The Director for TGS Business Development will focus on building strong relationships with DoD/Federal customers and generating a revenue/profit-generating customer base for Lightspeed capabilities.

In Short

  • Identify key customers for Lightspeed capabilities.
  • Plan and execute customer engagements and business development plans.
  • Develop winning sales strategies targeting Government verticals.
  • Align with TGS Growth Strategy through strategic planning and sales resource planning.
  • Work closely with the executive team to foster a culture of teamwork.
  • Establish productive relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Manage and build the cyber security platform for DoW customers.
  • Articulate the pLEO value proposition and promote Telesat brand.
  • Set standards of behavior and engagement for the team.
  • Manage an evolving pipeline of business and capture strategies.

Requirements

  • 15 years of business development experience in a competitive environment.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or cyber security preferred.
  • Experience with business-to-government solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships.
  • Ability to operate independently and within a team.
  • Experience in proposal writing and engaging expertise for complex requirements.
  • Previous DoD civilian or Military Space experience required.
  • Active US Government security clearance (TOP SECRET/SCI).
