Overview

The Sales and Business Development Account Executive will develop and execute Sales and Business Development Strategies for Telesat Lightspeed LEO Services and Solutions in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

In Short

  • Collaborate with Telesat’s Global Account Sales team to support existing GEO customers.
  • Promote Telesat Lightspeed in the market to C-suite and technology heads.
  • Build sales and distribution channel partnerships in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Develop and execute a business plan for MNOs, Telcos, WISPs, and Large Enterprises.
  • Responsible for pipeline and account planning.
  • Align activities across virtual teams including engineering and sales operations.
  • Manage complex sales and negotiations across stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed reports and executive briefings on sales activities.
  • Design and execute business development and sales plans.
  • Excellent command of English, additional languages are a plus.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in sales and business development in the Satellite or Telecommunications Industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa markets.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales.
  • Experience in designing and executing sales strategies.
  • Ability to manage in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and consultative sales experience.
  • Experience with sales tools and complex account planning.
  • Ability to provide detailed sales activity reports.
  • Excellent command of English, additional languages are a plus.
