We are seeking a Vice President of Sales, State & Local Law Enforcement to lead a high-impact sales team focused on expanding Vector’s footprint across the public safety sector. This individual will play a critical role in both strategic planning and day-to-day execution, leading efforts to grow existing accounts and secure new business with law enforcement agencies. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, a hunter mentality, and a deep understanding of the public safety market and its unique buying processes.

In Short

  • Lead, coach, and scale a sales team focused on driving adoption of Vector’s solutions within state and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Own and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals through new business development and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies that align with the evolving needs of police, sheriff, and other public safety organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency decision-makers, influencers, and partners.
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy to drive accountability and execution.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, customer success, and revenue operations to enable a seamless customer journey.
  • Ensure team members are equipped with effective training, tools, and sales enablement resources to support success in the field.
  • Represent Vector at relevant industry events, conferences, and tradeshows to promote our value and gather market intelligence.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and deliver regular performance updates and territory reviews to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including 5+ years in a sales leadership role, preferably with SaaS or technology solutions for state and local government.
  • Demonstrated success selling into public safety organizations (law enforcement, EMS, fire service, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of the state and local buying process, including procurement cycles, funding structures, and key agency stakeholders.
  • Expertise in both velocity sales motions as well as mid size enterprise sales is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leader with ability to onboard new hires quickly to achieve revenue targets.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to execute tactically.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and team performance.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
