Overview

The Aerospace and Defense Key Account Manager will build strong working relationships and develop plans to grow sales at large and complex end-user accounts.

In Short

  • Lead front-end negotiation and execution of customer agreements.
  • Develop C-suite-level relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Identify and lead mutual beneficial projects with key national accounts.
  • Determine competitive share opportunities and create plans to win share.
  • Develop and execute plans to deliver the strategy for the key account.
  • Implement best practices across multiple locations.
  • Requires driving a company vehicle.
  • May include up to 50% domestic travel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Experience in space or aerospace markets is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of experience selling to large complex end-user accounts.
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.
  • Master’s degree in business or marketing is a plus.
  • Seven years’ experience with strategic key account management.
  • Experience with 3M products is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of 3M’s business areas and products.
  • Experience engaging with executive levels of organizations.
