This global-facing role is designed for a strategic hunter who excels at building executive-level relationships, leading cross-functional initiatives, and unlocking new opportunities in both biopharma and industrial sectors.

In Short

  • Lead strategic business development efforts across high-value accounts.
  • Serve as a liaison for assigned accounts, managing communications and performance metrics.
  • Build and manage executive-level relationships to elevate Avantor’s presence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness.
  • Deliver compelling customer presentations and lead contract proposals.
  • Travel up to 50% to customer sites and internal meetings.
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage pipelines and optimize performance.
  • Familiarity with biopharma, industrial, or life sciences sectors preferred.
  • 5+ years of business development or sales experience required.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent/applicable experience required.
  • Proven success managing high-level customer relationships.
  • Strong executive presence with influencing abilities across all levels.
  • Experience in pricing strategy and contract negotiation.
  • Valid driver’s license required due to travel expectations.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems.
