Overview

The Regional Director of Sales is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy within a designated geographic region to drive new software, service, and support sales. This leadership role focuses on revenue growth, customer acquisition, and expansion of existing accounts while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall sales objectives.

  • Own and manage the regional sales pipeline, ensuring strong lead generation and deal closure.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to key clients.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Collaborate with marketing to refine lead generation and demand-generation strategies.
  • Provide regional sales performance reports, including market trends and growth opportunities.
  • Promote a positive work environment and champion company values.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving new software and service sales in a software reseller, SaaS, or enterprise software environment.
  • Strong expertise in B2B sales, account management, and consultative selling.
  • Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills with a focus on team development.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Availability to travel within the assigned region, work evenings, and weekends as required.
