Overview

This is a position for a strong strategic leader with senior sales experience within the leisure, groups, tour, MICE, BT, and events hotel sector. This newly created role for Argus Hospitality Group oversees all sales initiatives for the World Class Hotel Eldorado at Eldorado Resort, Manteo Resort at Eldorado Resort, Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Kelowna Airport and Home2 Suites by Hilton Fort St. John.

In Short

  • Develop and execute strategies to exceed defined KPIs within the Leisure, Tour Series, FIT, Group and Events market segments.
  • Capitalize on the hotels and resort destinations natural strengths to evolve the hotel’s USP positioning for both wellness and lifestyle.
  • Responsible for the development of new business for the hotels within each of the above subsegments.
  • Provide strong leadership, ongoing coaching, training and action plan follow up.
  • Create strategic business development sales plans for all segments.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management teams to determine quarterly strategies.
  • Manage regional travel budget to maximize proactive sales opportunities.
  • Research travel consumer trends to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Lead communication with Global Brand Sales team.
  • Participation in industry trade shows and sales trips.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience as Hotel DOSM.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Hotel Management degree an asset.
  • Experience in all hotels segments is a must.
  • Repositioning and hotel opening experience is a strong asset.
  • Proven Leadership skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills essential.
  • Strong account management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Computer literacy in various applications including Opera, Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
  • Ability to travel when required.
