Overview

Updater is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Sales to drive revenue growth, cultivate strategic relationships, and champion our portfolio of products in a fast-paced, startup environment. This role requires a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure clients receive best-in-class solutions. You will own the end-to-end sales cycle and play a critical role in building and strengthening our market presence.

In Short

  • Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within assigned industries or territories.
  • Manage the complete sales process—from initial outreach and discovery to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business challenges and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in the CRM; regularly update forecasts to reflect changing prospects and deal statuses.
  • Work closely with Marketing to align on lead generation strategies and campaign execution.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market movements, and competitive insights.
  • Utilize sales metrics to measure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
  • Expect to travel once or twice a month for in-person client meetings.
  • Represent Updater in a professional, solutions-oriented manner.
  • Prepare regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and key wins for leadership review.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with key multifamily stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, manage complex sales cycles, and close deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; adept at delivering compelling presentations.
  • Familiar with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Team player with experience partnering cross-functionally.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, startup environment.
