Associate Production Support Engineer - Remote

Overview

As an Associate Production Support Engineer at Updater, you'll play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and supporting revenue-generating systems while evolving towards a reliability engineering role.

In Short

• Monitor critical production systems using DataDog dashboards.
• Respond to incidents promptly to minimize business impact.
• Manage escalations from internal and external partners.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Lead incident response for production outages.
• Document incidents and participate in postmortem processes.
• Learn to implement SLOs and SLIs for services.
• Develop automation scripts to reduce manual tasks.
• Collaborate with DevOps to understand CI/CD pipelines.
• Support platform engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting production systems.
• Understanding of programming concepts and scripting abilities.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with API testing tools.
• Basic understanding of Git and collaborative workflows.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner level knowledge.
• Proven ability to work under pressure during outages.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
