Academic Program Development Manager - Remote

Overview

The Academic Program Development Manager will support the strategic design and continuous improvement of academic programs delivered through online, blended, and workforce implementations. This role will ensure new and revised programs are innovative, market-responsive, and aligned with accreditation, regulatory, and workforce standards.

In Short

• Oversee the selection of Subject Matter Experts for program design.
• Monitor and approve timesheets and agreements related to SMEs.
• Facilitate collaboration among SMEs, instructional designers, and academic leaders.
• Support the development of materials for regulatory approval.
• Collaborate to build curriculum maps and define learning outcomes.
• Partner with marketing teams to ensure program market viability.
• Evaluate program performance to inform revisions.
• Ensure program development aligns with the institution's mission.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or Curriculum and Instruction.
• 3 years of experience in academic program development.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects.
• Experience with online/blended program models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven success in launching new programs.
• Fluency in verbal and written English.
• Ability to contribute to a diverse work environment.
• Basic computer skills.
