Externship Career Services Advisor - Remote

Overview

The Externship Career Services Advisor is responsible for delivering comprehensive career services to UMA’s online student population, focusing on building employer relationships and providing personalized career counseling.

In Short

• Provide personalized support on interview techniques, resume writing, and professional presentation.
• Assist students and graduates in securing employment aligned with their field of study.
• Collaborate with externship coordinators for smooth transitions into externship experiences.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers to expand job opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with institutional and federal standards.
• Work under limited supervision and may lead daily operations of team members.
• Demonstrate knowledge of compliance requirements and communicate them effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• College coursework required with at least 1 year of experience in relevant fields.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic computer skills.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year in education, career services, staffing, customer service or sales.
• Ability to communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
• Ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
• Dynamic personality with strong communication and follow-up skills.
• Call center experience preferred.
