Overview

The Career Advisor will assist job seekers and career changers by providing guidance on job search strategies, career planning, and identifying barriers to employment.

In Short

• Build one-on-one relationships with participants to aid in employment challenges.
• Counsel participants on job search strategies and training issues.
• Work with a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
• Monitor and track customer participation in programs.
• Collaborate with schools and management for documentation.
• Provide motivational support during the job search process.
• Facilitate job readiness workshops.
• Document customer success stories and case notes.
• Assist in project report preparations.
• Support operational tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in presenting workshops and working with individuals facing employment barriers.
• Knowledge of job search strategies and resources.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Familiarity with local community needs and resources.
• Willingness to work first shift and overtime if required.
• Travel may be necessary.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Adaptable and flexible.
