Senior Backend & Infrastructure Engineer - Remote

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Backend & Infrastructure Engineer to lead scalable backend development and cloud architecture.

In Short

• Build and maintain scalable FastAPI-based APIs.
• Design efficient PostgreSQL schemas.
• Implement event-driven architectures with Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Manage AWS architectures (VPC, ECS/EKS, Route 53, Cloudflare).
• Support multi-region deployments for high availability.
• Enforce HIPAA standards and manage IAM.
• Implement secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Define IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Set up observability practices and automated alerts.

Requirements

• Experience in backend development with Python and FastAPI.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of security and compliance standards.
• Experience with DevOps practices and automation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
• Ability to manage multi-region deployments.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with monitoring and reliability practices.
