Overview

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will take ownership of backend systems in a high-throughput, multi-tenant environment, contributing to the architecture and design of backend services and APIs.

In Short

Design and build backend services, APIs, and async background workers.
Own system design decisions and contribute to architecture discussions.
Work directly with Shopify APIs for merchant integration.
Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
Contribute to the migration of infrastructure from Railway to Azure.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in a high-volume system.
Write clean, well-documented, testable code.
Participate in code reviews.
Use AI-assisted development tools for improved efficiency.

Requirements

Experience with Go, TypeScript, Python, Node.js, Java, Kotlin, or Rust.
Strong understanding of high-throughput distributed systems.
Familiarity with database architecture and optimization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment.
Previous experience with Shopify integrations is a plus.
