To fulfill our mission, we seek engineers enthusiastic about working on large-scale distributed systems that handle hundreds of millions of requests per second.

• Guide and shape the technological strategies to ensure the sustainable development of Pinterest's online backend infrastructure.

• Inspire and encourage the team to consistently improve the reliability, operability, scalability, efficiency, and performance of Pinterest's serving stack.
• Spearhead projects aimed at scaling existing systems or developing new features to meet Pinterest's business requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, building, and managing large-scale distributed systems that support high-throughput, low-latency applications.
• Strong proficiency in at least one system programming language, such as C++, Java, Go, or Rust.
• Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, including operating systems, threading, networking, and modern hardware architecture, from a software engineering perspective.
• Effective cross-functional leadership abilities.
• Good communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.
