Overview

The Executive Editor will lead and guide Local Democracy Reporters across the UK in creating and publishing content that meets the requirements of LDRS contracts, ensuring compliance and excellence in their output.

Requirements

• Senior journalist and editor experience.
• Knowledge of media law and IPSO code.
• Proven track record in people management.
• Strong understanding of public interest journalism.
• First-class digital publishing skills.
• Experience in local government reporting.
• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach newsroom staff.
• Flexibility for high-profile political events.
• Solid understanding of journalism qualifications.
