Overview

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for strategic accounts and account/business acquisition in a defined category across all channels. They create and execute short and mid-term business strategies and performance according to the account plan.

In Short

  • Create and execute the account plans, own and manage requests for pricing/contracts
  • Be responsible for contract execution, follow-up, and lead adjustments as needed
  • Identify projects to convert other packaging materials to glass
  • Update and report to the board of directors regarding the risk of competition
  • Maintain average payment term and default percentage of the segment
  • Generates, develops, and closes sales opportunities
  • Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and landing new customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent discipline required
  • Minimum of 7+ years of sales/marketing experience
  • Experienced with Key Account Management Programs
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined
