Leave Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Leave Specialist serves as a liaison and day-to-day contact for third-party leave administrations, employees, managers, and HR Business Partners during the lifecycle of an employee’s leave of absence.

In Short

• Coordinates processing of all Leaves of Absence (LOA).
• Intakes employee questions regarding leaves of absence benefits.
• Main point of contact for employees regarding LOAs.
• Provides information on LOA procedures and policies.
• Manages lifecycle of individual disability-related medical and pregnancy accommodations.
• Liaison with third-party leave and workers’ compensation administrators.
• Assists in the coordination of the Worker’s Compensation Case Management Program.
• Processes bi-weekly payroll files from third-party administrator.
• Manages timecard for employees on leave.
• Assists with compliance for federal and state leaves.

Requirements

• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team setting.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of data management systems.
• Experience with HR Information Systems is preferred.
• FMLA Compliance and/or ADA/ADAAA Certification is preferred.
