Overview

NISC is seeking a talented Full-Stack Desktop Developer with a passion for solving complex challenges and working collaboratively. This role involves designing, building, and evolving Desktop and Server-based solutions tailored for electrical engineers.

In Short

• Design and build responsive desktop applications for electrical engineering.
• Develop and maintain RESTful web services.
• Implement container-driven development with Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature development.
• Research and resolve customer issues related to applications.
• Perform unit and integration testing of code.
• Adhere to software development methodologies.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
• Work in a hybrid schedule with office locations in ND, IA, and MO.
• Fully remote candidates considered with relevant experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in C++ and C#.
• Experience with Java or other Object-Oriented languages.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgresSQL, SQL, or Oracle.
• Experience in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
• Familiarity with asynchronous workflows.
• Proficiency with Git and development tools.
• Commitment to shared values and teamwork.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minor or course work in Electrical Engineering preferred.
