Overview

NISC is seeking a talented Full-Stack Desktop Developer with a passion for solving complex challenges and working collaboratively. This role involves designing, building, and evolving Desktop and Server-based solutions tailored for electrical engineers. Additionally, they will tool around with complex algorithmic approaches to solving Powerflow for electrical systems, including maintenance of existing logic and improvements. The successful candidate will work with our skilled software engineers to develop innovative solutions that meet our Members' needs.

In Short

  • Design and build responsive desktop applications for electrical engineering.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful web services.
  • Implement container-driven development using Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature development.
  • Research and resolve customer issues related to applications.
  • Perform unit and integration testing of code.
  • Adhere to software development methodologies.
  • Undertake additional tasks to support team objectives.
  • 5+ years of software development experience preferred.
  • Proficient in C++ and C#.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with Java or other Object-Oriented languages.
  • Knowledge of relational databases like PostgresSQL, SQL, or Oracle.
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with asynchronous workflows and patterns.
  • Proficiency with Git and development tools.
