Overview

The Regional Sales Manager for Packaging Materials will be responsible for generating sales to both prospective and existing customers throughout the Northeast territory, which includes MD, Eastern PA, NY, CT, NJ, MA, RI, VT, NH, and ME.

In Short

  • Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing business.
  • Travel approximately 60% of the time to meet customer needs.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities through personal sales calls and follow-ups.
  • Utilize company resources to further the sales process.
  • Attend material test trials and strengthen relationships with operations teams.
  • Work closely with Customer Support and Pricing Analysts.
  • Utilize CRM systems according to established procedures.
  • Monitor and report competitive activity in the area.
  • Attend trade shows and sales meetings as directed by management.
  • Act as a support agent for Regional Sales Associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least five years of sales experience, with one year in packaging materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical documents.
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculating figures and amounts.
  • Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Current valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
