Overview

This position is responsible for providing remote technical support to internal and external customers concerning fundamental mechanical, electronic, and operational aspects of machines. Assists with developing and maintaining technical documentation.

In Short

  • Provide general technical assistance to customers by diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electronic issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop product knowledge and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a technical library for customer use.
  • Identify and resolve quality-related issues to international headquarters.
  • Assist with programming of electronic spare parts.
  • Participate in training and customer application assessments.
  • Perform other tasks in support of customers as needed.
  • Work includes a rotating after-hours schedule.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Compensation for after-hours work provided.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in technical discipline and two years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electronic aspects of machines.
  • Solid understanding of induction and servo motors, drives, and controllers.
  • Basic knowledge of low-voltage switches, sensors, and transducers.
  • Modular PLC experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and database applications.
  • Current valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
