Traveling Project Manager - Capital Equipment Installation - Remote

Overview

The Multivac Traveling Project Manager- Capital Equipment Installation plans, directs, coordinates, and supports the installation and maintenance of moderately complex capital equipment machinery within the processing and packaging industry. This is a remote position involving extensive travel throughout the U.S., as well as multiple trips to Germany per year.

In Short

• Responsible for complex packaging and processing machine projects, focusing on Automation and combined systems.
• Coordinate with sales and service teams to ensure adequate support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review customer specifications with Technical Sales Advisors.
• Consult with MULTIVAC Germany and internal departments to resolve issues.
• Coordinate trips to Germany for extensive testing on complex equipment.
• Ensure project documentation requirements are fulfilled.
• Stay current in new technologies and assist in training Field Service Technicians.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Assist Service Management in developing installation protocols.
• Review Installation Reports and follow-up items with Service Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering.
• Two years of related technical project management experience.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, drafting, and 3D modeling platforms.
• Current valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations.
