Overview

The Sr. Director, Channel Planner is responsible for translating brand strategy and media briefs into omnichannel media strategies for Old Navy. This role serves as the key connection point between the brand team and the centralized media organization, leading a team to deliver best-in-class channel planning.

In Short

  • Lead omnichannel media planning and execution for Old Navy.

  • Establish proxy metrics for campaigns incorporating business objectives.
  • Drive media mix recommendations against brand goals.
  • Advise Media Agency planning team on granular media plans.
  • Collect and incorporate recommendations from Media Channel Activation team.
  • Approve optimizations and adjustments to campaigns.
  • Liaise with Measurement and Interpretation team for goal setting.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and strategic thinking.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in omnichannel media planning.
  • 5+ years of team management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of media channels and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence outcomes in a matrixed environment.
  • Change agent with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Experience in collaborative leadership.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and foster positive culture change.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate media effectiveness.
