Overview

The Account Director Switchgear & Busway leads the technical sales and account management functions for some of the largest MTDC Accounts in the organization serving Vertiv Switchgear and Busway customers. There is very high expectation for growth in these global accounts through new product and service sales and increasing levels of service as applicable. The director will interact with all levels of management to influence and lead decision-makers and team leaders. The role is to define, lead, direct, coordinate Vertiv’s Global strategy and execution for the account, working with and through lines of business, regional sales and service organizations and leadership. Teamwork with global divisions of Vertiv is of paramount importance as is the ability to work well with respected executive leaders for each client.

In Short

  • Build, develop and maintain business relationships for the largest MTDC accounts.
  • Collaborate with Vertiv Account Directors on sales strategies and forecasting.
  • Develop sales and business opportunities aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Maintain customer portfolio to ensure positive satisfaction.
  • Identify actions to reach sales objectives in the commercial market.
  • Contribute to global portfolio implementation and customer relationship building.
  • Lead strategic analysis for appropriate offerings and sales techniques.
  • Drive executive level communications with clear data presentation.
  • Ensure service delivery meets contract requirements and expectations.
  • Develop direct reports to reflect Vertiv values.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in a Sales Leadership role.
  • Ability to close complex transactions with multiple decision makers.
  • Provide guidance to facilitate proper influence in various areas.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • Self-starter who follows projects to completion.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong leadership skills.
  • Motivator with a desire to succeed.
