Overview

TimelyCare is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Compliance to join our Legal and Compliance team. This role is essential to maintaining our organization's integrity, ensuring operations align with applicable federal and state laws, particularly those governing telehealth, privacy, information security and healthcare.

In Short

  • Design, revise and maintain a robust compliance program tailored to telehealth delivery.
  • Track and interpret evolving regulations in healthcare and telemedicine.
  • Collaborate with legal and operations teams for compliance program implementation.
  • Identify compliance risks and deploy mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement compliance training and monitoring programs.
  • Lead compliance audits and incident investigations.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies and external legal counsel.
  • Draft and revise internal procedures for compliance best practices.
  • Support legal and compliance team objectives and company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or related field; a master's or law degree is a plus.
  • At least 6 years of experience in compliance, focusing on healthcare or telehealth.
  • Understanding of healthcare laws including HIPAA and FERPA.
  • Experience with higher education institutions is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in developing compliance programs.
  • Relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Technologically proficient in tools like Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
