General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a strategic and compliance-focused General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer to join our leadership team at a leading medical education company.

In Short

• Oversee day-to-day legal matters of the company.
• Identify, research, analyze, and advise on legal topics.
• Provide strategic legal counseling combined with business acumen.
• Stay current with industry regulations and laws.
• Navigate contracting matters including reviewing and negotiating agreements.
• Develop and implement an effective Compliance Program.
• Coordinate and execute Compliance Training for employees.
• Support HR and employment matters.
• Manage external counsel budgets and relationships.
• Work closely with executive leadership on compliance strategies.

Requirements

• A J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 10+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong track record in identifying and solving legal issues.
• Proven history of business partnership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong background in commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with healthcare laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel more than 25%.
