Chief Compliance Officer - Remote

Overview

Figure Lending is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join Figure Lending’s Legal and Compliance department and provide leadership support in building and implementing a top-class, highly effective compliance program.

In Short

• Manage and oversee the compliance functions for Figure Lending compliance program.
• Lead a team of qualified compliance professionals (8 employees).
• Serve as the Compliance resource for the building of new products and maintenance of existing lending.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory examinations and inquiries.
• Partner with the Legal team on all components of product counseling.
• Drive corrective action processes across all products.
• Develop compliance risk assessments to address legal and regulatory risks.
• Maintain the company’s Compliance Management System.
• Review and approve marketing materials and other public communications.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience at a bank, credit union, nonbank lender, and/or regulatory agency.
• 5+ years of senior broker-dealer compliance experience.
• Experience at a public company, specifically in the Fintech sector, is preferred.
• Preference for a licensed attorney, with at least one state bar.
• Thorough knowledge of state lending and various regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience leading and managing legal or compliance employees.
• Exceptional judgment and integrity.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with ease.
• Strong work ethic and high attention to detail.
