Overview

The Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in fostering a fair, compliant, and positive workplace culture at Placemakr. This role partners closely with various teams to address employee relations matters and ensure adherence to employment laws and internal policies.

In Short

• Serve as a primary point of contact for Tier 4 employee relations cases.
• Conduct impartial investigations into employee relations issues.
• Advise managers on workplace policies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Maintain and update employee handbook and policies.
• Support audits and documentation related to compliance.
• Track changes in employment law and provide guidance.
• Support training programs related to employee relations.
• 3+ years’ experience in HR compliance or related role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws.
• Proven experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations.
• Exceptional judgement and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• HR certification preferred (SHRM, PHR).
• Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
