Overview

The Market Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding company objectives and sales goals within the Los Angeles territory, focusing on both On- and Off-Premise channels to drive sales growth through strategic execution and collaboration with distributors.

In Short

  • Execute sales strategies and objectives to drive market growth.
  • Partner with distributors to develop sales plans and support key accounts.
  • Monitor and report distributor performance against goals.
  • Conduct planning meetings with distributor management.
  • Develop strong relationships with top accounts.
  • Provide recommendations for incentives and trade marketing initiatives.
  • Participate in company and sales team meetings.
  • Oversee brand and travel & entertainment budgets.
  • Spend 80% of time on field sales efforts and 20% on administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the wine or consumer products industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required.
  • Must reside within the covered territory.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with distributors and accounts.
  • Coaching and sales training skills.
  • Strong understanding of wine production and styles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
