Overview

The National Recycling Director (NRD) is responsible for managing strategic clients and leading a team of Client Development Executives to maximize client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

In Short

  • Manage strategic Northstar Recycling clients to maximize profits and retention.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Onboard new clients through large-scale implementations.
  • Lead and develop Client Development Executives.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Facilitate transitions of accounts across CDs.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and improvements.
  • Participate in negotiations and conflict resolution.
  • Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Support employee development through coaching and mentorship.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in business or waste/recycling industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Experience with negotiations and client management.
  • Leadership experience across departments.
  • Comfortable with after-hours availability for emergencies.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
