Global Category Director - Remote

Overview

This position is to develop and implement Global Category and sub-category strategies in collaboration with SVP Procurement, CTO and his Direct Reports and business stakeholders.

In Short

• Develop the ‘big picture’ to create the category strategy
• Map relevant stakeholders for the respective category strategy
• Establish core team/ resource requirements for category
• Oversee research and data analysis for category
• Conduct regular performance reviews with preferred suppliers
• Create negotiation plan and negotiate with suppliers
• Ensure compliance to Global contracts
• Coach junior team members
• Develop and implement contract KPI’s
• Manage tender process for category

Requirements

• Educated to degree level in technical/ Business Administration or related subjects
• 10+ years work experience in a global procurement role
• Understanding of key sourcing processes and tools
• Strong preference for Professional Procurement Qualifications
• Proven financial and business acumen
• Fluent in English
