Overview

The Application Engineer I – Packaging supports MULTIVAC sales and marketing efforts by collaborating with various teams to define technical aspects of sales projects, focusing on food customer applications and product configurations.

In Short

• Collaborate with Sales teams and customers for technical requirements.
• Prepare customer quotations and manage sales projects from RFQ to shipment.
• Participate in sales calls and provide technical support.
• Travel up to 20% to meet customers and attend trade shows.
• Stay current with new applications in the USA and worldwide.
• Assist in technical training of Sales Managers and Administrators.
• Work with various engineering groups for technical efficacy.
• Document product offerings and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Engage with customers during demonstrations and visits.
• Utilize CRM and SAP for managing sales processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
• At least two years of technical experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong technical background in equipment application sales proposals.
• Ability to discuss complex technical requirements.
• Experience with MULTIVAC preferred.
• Knowledge of CRM and SAP systems.
• Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate sales team and customers.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
