Overview

As a Search Engineer in Technical Support at Lucidworks, you will play a critical role in helping clients resolve technical issues and optimize their use of search technology.

In Short

  • Assist clients in resolving technical issues with Lucidworks products.
  • Troubleshoot complex search issues related to Lucene/Solr.
  • Document solutions for customer knowledge base.
  • Communicate customer feedback to internal teams.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Success teams.
  • Field incoming questions and provide product configuration assistance.
  • Identify opportunities for additional customer value.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Deliver outstanding customer experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Lucene/Solr or similar technologies.
  • 3+ years in a customer-facing tech support role.
  • Proficiency in Java and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby).
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Familiarity with technical support CRM systems (Salesforce, Zendesk).
  • Startup experience is preferred.
  • BS or higher in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
