Overview

LGC Clinical Diagnostics is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Specialist to support and expand our Seraseq portfolio of reference materials across the United States. This role is ideal for a scientifically trained professional with a strong background in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) who is passionate about customer engagement, technical sales, and business development.

In Short

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within potential customer accounts.
  • Expand existing customer relationships by uncovering additional product needs and applications.
  • Drive sales growth through proactive outreach, including cold calls, emails, and virtual meetings.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Understand and address customer challenges related to assay validation and quality control.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships for high retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs.
  • Track and report sales activities and market trends.
  • Cultivate and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration in business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a biological field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
  • 2-5 years hands-on experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
  • Prior experience in technical sales or account management is a plus.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work remotely and prioritize effectively.
