Feed Sales Representative - Remote

Overview

We are hiring a Feed Sales Representative with Purina Animal Nutrition to focus on cattle, equine, and lifestyle feed sales in the Roseburg, Oregon area. This remote position involves selling feed and related products to optimize dealer market share and improve efficiency.

In Short

• Remote (virtual) field-based sales position.
• Focus on cattle, equine, and lifestyle feed sales.
• Conduct up to 25 farm calls per week.
• Evaluate existing feeding programs for animal owners.
• Develop new prospects and make sales cold calls.
• Organize educational meetings/events for local organizations.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field.
• Strong sales experience is highly desired.
• Competent in making nutritional and feeding recommendations.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field.
• Proven sales and industry experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, especially MS Office and Salesforce.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to network and build relationships in the industry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• 15% overnight travel required.
• Ability to make multiple daily sales calls.
• Experience with cattle, dairy, equine, or lifestyle animals.
• Solid public speaking skills.
