Overview

Karya is looking for an organised and proactive individual to fill a hybrid role as a Senior Coordinator, acting as a liaison between project managers and linguistic teams to foster a positive community environment.

In Short

• Act as the main liaison between the Project Manager and the linguistic team.
• Supervise and streamline workflows for Senior and Junior Linguistics Translators.
• Distribute tasks and monitor progress on translation and transcription projects.
• Identify and address workflow bottlenecks promptly.
• Oversee quality assurance processes and perform random checks on deliverables.
• Coordinate the creation and update of language glossaries and style guides.
• Provide feedback and conduct performance reviews for linguists.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Project Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of project coordination experience in translation or language content projects.
• Proficiency in English and fluency in at least one Indian regional language.
• Experience working with marginalised communities.
• Familiarity with different content types, such as marketing or legal translation.
