Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our field team in the UK, responsible for managing the complete range of Lonza Cell Biology and Transfection product groups.

In Short

  • Manage the entire sales cycle and grow sales in the Pharma & Biotech sector.
  • Deliver on sales targets and manage the sales funnel.
  • Prospect new customers and accounts.
  • Develop product knowledge to position available products.
  • Understand customer applications and propose solutions.
  • Coordinate and plan effective account coverage.
  • Maintain accurate customer data in CRM.
  • Work autonomously from a home-based office.
  • Share knowledge with the team to achieve high performance.
  • Encourage collaboration with specialists and support teams.

Requirements

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of cell culture and assay setup.
  • Hands-on experience in a Business Development environment.
  • Proficiency in English; a second European language is a plus.
