Overview

The Business Development Manager at Franklin Electric is responsible for coordinating actions with sales teams to achieve sales goals, securing business with new customers, and growing sales of wastewater and booster product portfolios.

In Short

  • Develop relationships with wastewater influencers.
  • Train sales teams and distribution partners.
  • Attend industry tradeshows and seminars.
  • Identify and execute new sales opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.
  • Participate in pricing negotiations.
  • Input contacts into CRM software.
  • Develop sales forecasts and marketing programs.
  • Work with product teams to meet customer needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 7-10 years of relevant sales experience.
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time.
  • Solid communication and consultative sales skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
