Field Service Engineer - IES - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to be the technical powerhouse behind our Industrial & Engineered Systems (IES) team—delivering world-class service, training, and support to rental partners, end users, and distributors, with a sharp focus on pumps, diesel engines, and electric motor-driven systems.

In Short

• Provide technical service and support on Franklin Electric and Pioneer products.
• Represent the company at on-site installation meetings and resolve field issues.
• Provide technician training to local rental branches, distributors, and customers.
• Promote and grow the aftermarket business within the assigned region.
• Prepare scopes and quotes for services and write detailed trip reports.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized service truck and ensure compliance with DOT standards.
• Provide customer guidance in the initial design phase of products.
• Develop good rapport with rental customers and distributors.
• Work with cross-functional teams to share product feedback and recommendations.
• Travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight travel.

Requirements

• Relevant technical knowledge, especially in water systems, pumps, motors, drives, and controls.
• A BSEE or BSME degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of industry experience, preferably in rental equipment market.
• Experience diagnosing/troubleshooting diesel engine performance.
• Basic experience with vibration analysis and data collection preferred.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel extensively.
