Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Compensation Data Analyst to join our team in our Seattle or Portland offices. This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from one of our offices.

In Short

  • Provides ongoing data and analysis support to the Attorney Compensation Manager.
  • Responsible for data provision of the annual Associate Compensation process; the Counsel Compensation process; and the SHARE process.
  • Provides routine analyses including monthly hours statistics, and quarterly/annual processes for special committees.
  • Ongoing document management and tracking as it relates to attorney contracts, incentives, special bonuses and attorney transitions.
  • Works closely with Payroll staff to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all attorney payments.
  • Create and maintain contract partner payment schedule.
  • Ongoing tracking of hiring, departure and other status change information for attorneys and patent agents.
  • Data support for lateral analyses and pay equity review as needed.
  • Maintains Attorney Compensation SharePoint including updating structure and filing of all documents.
  • Responsible for updating budget hours and administering year-end budget hours solicitation process.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in analyst/comp role, required.
  • Advanced skill level of standard MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Word and PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI and SQL applications preferred.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial and performance data, required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in a law-firm or professional services organization preferred.
  • BA/BS required. Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
