An exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! The Matter Mobility Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the Information Governance Team, overseeing the secure and compliant transfer of client matter records during attorney transitions.

In Short

  • Implement and champion all of the Firm’s policies regarding the transfer of client matter records.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to confirm relevant documents are filed appropriately.
  • Coordinate the review and release of client matter records.
  • Track and prioritize transfer requests and maintain detailed logs.
  • Communicate with clients to confirm delivery preferences.
  • Collaborate with incoming attorneys to retrieve active matter files.
  • Ensure proper integration of incoming data into document management systems.
  • Assist attorneys in opening new matters and mapping legacy files.
  • Track and report on incoming data status.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in records management or legal operations.
  • GED or High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • General knowledge of PC configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of legal software and applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Information Governance principles preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused work.
  • Ability to multi-task in stressful situations.
