Overview

The Strategic Customer Success Manager (SCSM) will play a key role in driving customer success, retention, and subscription expansion within our Public Sector organization. SCSMs provide thought leadership and actionable recommendations to ensure customers take full advantage of the Confluent Portfolio and product capabilities.

  • Meet/exceed quarterly retention targets through proactive engagement.
  • Collaborate with sales team for expansion and upsell opportunities.
  • Guide adoption practices for value realization.
  • Drive cross-functional programs to grow usage and satisfaction.
  • Deliver presentations to executive audiences.
  • Maintain relationships with key users and decision-makers.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to develop customer advocates.
  • Champion customer needs across the organization.
  • Contribute to best practices for engagement and renewals.

Requirements

  • Experience communicating with business executives.
  • Familiarity with sales discovery and customer service escalation.
  • Experience running Executive level reviews.
  • Public speaking experience is a plus.
  • Highly motivated and customer-centric.
  • Honest and transparent partner to customers.
  • Well organized with outstanding communication skills.
  • Technically competent with Confluent technology.
  • Experience in tracking sales activities and customer data.
  • Ability to drive synergy across teams.
