Overview

The Director of Employee Relations is responsible for overseeing employee relations issues, performance management, and providing guidance on HR matters within a mission-driven organization focused on community health and support services.

In Short

  • Accountable to the Senior Director, Talent Management.
  • Supervises the Senior Employee Relations Specialist and Employee Relations Coordinator.
  • Oversees performance management systems and employee evaluations.
  • Handles complex employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Conducts exit interviews and analyzes feedback for improvements.
  • Maintains knowledge of employment legislation and best practices.
  • Provides coaching and support to supervisees.
  • Ensures confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Requires occasional in-person office attendance.
  • Promotes a culture of work-life balance through flexible work options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and think critically.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Ability to travel to other sites as required.
  • Ability to work remotely with some in-office requirements.
