Remote Billing & Collections Specialist

Overview

This individual will be the face of the Billing department, managing customer interactions for billing and collections efforts, assisting customers with invoices and payments, and handling collection attempts.

In Short

• Serve as the point of contact for customer billing inquiries.
• Assist customers with obtaining invoices and payment portal access.
• Handle calls and monitor escalations from other departments.
• Investigate and resolve basic customer inquiries.
• Maintain records of collection attempts for past due accounts.
• Process payments over the phone and communicate payment arrangements.
• Educate customers on credit policies and dispute processes.
• Support the Billing/Collections Specialist II and Analysts.
• Maintain up-to-date records in SalesForce.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable.
• Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Ability to follow established processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
