Backend Developer for Fintech Company - Remote

Overview

The BILL Enterprise Tax Service team is responsible for maintaining BILL’s internal-facing 1099 Tax Compliance capabilities, providing scalable and resilient connections to the IRS and state-tax authorities.

In Short

• 5+ years of development experience as a backend developer
• Experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, AWS (preferably serverless/lambda), SQL
• Experience with dev tools like zod, prisma, nx, turborepo, vitest
• Experience with telemetry tools like Splunk, Datadog
• Experience with APIs, microservices, queuing, and event-driven architecture
• Ability to work as feature lead with junior developers
• Proven ability to take a technical ask through all stages of design and development
• Expertise with all aspects of SDLC, including code reviews, unit testing, end-to-end testing and CI/CD
• Ability to communicate technical details and trade-offs effectively to stakeholders
• Passion for staying updated with the latest technologies
