Backend Developer - Remote

Our flexible and unified technology stack comprises a demand-side platform (“DSP”) and supply-side platform (“SSP”), with the Nexxen Data Platform at its core.

In Short

• Function as a backend developer, working with company bidding and scalable DSP teams.
• Responsible for building Nexxen next generation bidding and user data platforms.
• Full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, and deployment.
• Build and maintain high volume, performant and scalable web services.
• Parse and identify IAB Real-Time bidding requests.
• Improve company bidding systems and user and fraud data stores.
• Optimize request performance and write systems for billions of requests per day.
• Work with system software architecture for large distributed systems.
• Deliver highly-scaled distributed systems proficient with caching and NoSQL data stores.
• Process and aggregate Hadoop files using map reduce jobs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Five years of experience in the job offered or professional coding.
• Experience with DSP bidding control systems, Java or Scala, and Python.
• Real-Time bidding spec and ad targeting experience.
• Building and maintaining distributed applications.
• Experience with SSH, Linux, and network protocols.
• Knowledge of MySQL, Vertica, Hadoop, and map reduce jobs.
• Experience with KeyDB, Redis, MongoDB, and Aerospike.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Datadog, and Grafana.
• Agile development process experience.
