Software Engineer II - Remote

Overview

This is an incredible opportunity for Software Engineer II who will work closely with software development and business teams building products and services for customers of Apex Fintech Solutions' suite of financial back office solutions.

In Short

• Serve as an individual contributor full stack engineer designing and building new microservices in a cloud development environment.
• Own the end-to-end development of new features/tools including design, documentation, implementation, and testing of applications.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise.
• Build robust, scalable, and self-healing services to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Support production systems in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Deliver high quality code by following coding standards and ensuring test coverage.
• Identify risks and perform risk analysis; manage risks effectively.
• Collaborate with engineers and other teams to elevate technology.
• Be a self-starter, capable of solving ambiguous and challenging technical problems.
• Assess existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 1 to 2 years of Golang experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one modern language (Java, C#, C++, Python).
• Expertise working with databases (SQL and/or noSQL).
• GCP or AWS cloud-related experience preferred.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Protobuf, DataDog, gRPC experience preferred.
• Ability to learn new languages, tools, and frameworks quickly.
• Proficient with software test and automation tools.
• Experience with service-oriented architectures preferred.
