Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

Apex Fintech Solutions (AFS) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work closely with software development and business teams, building products and services for customers in the financial sector.

In Short

• Design and build new microservices in a cloud development environment.
• Own end-to-end development of new features/tools.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Build robust, scalable, and self-healing services.
• Support production systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Deliver high-quality code and perform code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers on design techniques and coding standards.
• Collaborate with teams to elevate technology.
• Identify risks and manage them effectively.
• Assess existing processes for improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3-5 years of Golang experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one modern programming language.
• Experience with SQL and/or noSQL databases.
• Cloud-related experience (GCP or AWS) preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Protobuf, DataDog, gRPC preferred.
• Ability to learn new tools and frameworks quickly.
• Proficient with software test and automation tools.
• Experience with service-oriented architectures preferred.
